The group sat in stunned silence as my teenage daughter and her friend popped their heads into the room long enough to add their two cents worth to the conversation. After a moment of awkward silence, everyone instantaneously shouted, "That's it!"
We had just spent the last several hours brainstorming names for the new church that was about to be birthed. The whiteboard was littered with descriptive words; but none of them worked. None of them really communicated what our new church was really about, until we heard "Pathway."
A path goes somewhere. It implies a journey, a destination, a goal. We want to help people get on the path to God, and we want to help them take their "next step" of faith. We want to build a community of believers who will link arms and journey through life together.
What is Pathway Church? It is a community of Christ-followers in the Des Moines area who want to help you connect with Christ and grow in your relationship with Him.
